So far this week its been a little crazy, lots of calls from people needing a gas fitter, to list some of the completed work this week so far:

A Rinnai continuous flow hot water service with no hot water needed a new two stage 250MJ/h regulator at the LPG bottles, customer was back having hot showers the same day.

A Bosch Hydro hot water service was undergassed and needed a new LPG regulator, it also needed a new water section diaphragm and the tempering valve changing, this unit ...

Bosch hot water service not working

I was called to take a look at a Bosch battery ignition water wizard, after carrying out a number of tests with a mutimeter and making a few adjustments the unit was again back working.

Once I was able to light the burner it was osbvious that the unit was in great need of a service of the gas section and burner, the attached short video in my services gas fitting  will show you a burner with very poor flame picture and stability, the big yellow flame is a sure sign that incomple co...

Burst Water Main

I was called to Gallery walk this week on Tamborine Mountain, the lease of a group of shops was changing owners and a tenant had mentioned a problem with the pump cycling, a pressure test was carried out on the water main which deffinately showed a pressure drop which indicated a water leak somewhere. Rinnai hot water service not working in Boyland

The rinnai hot water service was 20 years old and had started to go faulty by not supplying power to the controllers, the unit had developed an intermittent fault and decided to work ok after a full reset, the customer was given an idea of cost incase the unit needs replacing.

Smeg stove installation Tamborine mountain, conversion to LPG and commissioning July 19th 2019

The LPG bottles were installed outside in a wooden cupboard also used for keeping gardening tools and equipment, it was explained to the customer that this is not permitted and the wooden cupboard was removed, advice was given on the requirements of storing LPG bottles.Also the LPG bottles were too close to a power point so they needed moving slightly and mounting on stone pavers.

Bathroom Renovation Chandlers Hill

GT Plumbing and Gas Services will be doing a complete bathroom renovation in Chandlers Hill over the next couple of week, this will incude a made to measure  new semi frameless clear glass shower screen with chrome fittings, an1800mm long vanity unit with double bowls, new back to the wall toilet with back inlet water point, bermuda tile insert floor grate and shower grate and new chrome fittings. High water bill, possible burst water main, Flagstaff Hill

Today your reliable plumber GT Plumbing and Gas Services went to try and find the reason why a household was receiving very high water bills recently, after a few tests it was obvious that they had a water leak possibly being caused by a burst water main.

After lifting the lid on an irrigation box and finding it full of water it wasn't long before the water main was dug out and exposed on a leaking pvc pipe tee piece. The faulty tee was cut out and the pipe joined with an expansion coup...
